I finally got the router installed and everything hooked up, but I never did figure out how to use my old network name and password. Instructions assume too much on the part of the end user.

Fast wifi; great app

Using the new Netgear router tripled my wifi speeds compared to the modem from my provider. With 1G internet I thought I should get more than 85/95 wifi speeds. With the Nighthawk it jumped to 230/269. More than enough to run all the devices in the house.

It definitely boosted our WiFi, even though our modem/router is slower than molasses. I’m excited for when I can get new modem to see the Netgear’s capacity.

WiFi everywhere!

I never knew whole house wifi could be so solid. It works everywhere. You don’t have to switch back and forth from your extender to your main modem. It’s meshed together with one sign in and password. I’ve had it for weeks and haven’t had to restart once. It just works great. Set it up and forget about it. Thank You!

Better than renting

Purchased this to eliminate my modem rental fee from Xfinity, and it should pay for itself in less than 10 months, so good purchase. One positive I didn’t expect - the extended WiFi range! We live in a 3 story house and with my rented modem/WiFi router, we needed a WiFi extender to get any service on the third floor; even then, the signal was mediocre. This modem/router extends to the third floor, and the signal is solid.

I bought a modem and router so I could stop renting one from my internet provider. This router was super easy to set up and has been working like a charm. I highly recommend!
