Awful product

This is the worst extender I have ever owned.
I downloaded the app, plugged in the extender, and went through the setup process. Attempting to connect to the network crashed my entire network. Factory reset and try again, same result.
The app is very poor as well because it comes back telling me the password for the network is not correct (which I know it is because I tested a device using the same password) which tells me the app is so poorly programmed it doesn't even know how to interpret a downed network.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Difficult, no impossible, to set up

I bought this today and I have spend about 5 hours trying to get it set up. It is obviously difficult to set up. I tried to see if Nighthawk is the way to go, but that Ap made it worse. I kept getting told that it was not able to connect to my existing network, and to connect to Nighthawk. But I wanted an extender not a new router.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Functional, but not much more

We had high expectations for this modem router, but the best I can say is that it usually works. Our speed is slower than the 3yr old modem and router it replaced. The app continually tells me that the firmware needs to be updated, and the Netgear rep told me we need to contact our ISP about that. iSP says it’s the correct version. Honestly, I’m tired of sitting on phones and on hold trying to make it work. Haven’t decided yet what I’ll do.
