Finally, a consistently good router

In the past five years, I've tried several wifi routers for my outdoor live sound reinforcement gigs. The AC1750 is the only one so far that worked perfectly, not a single dropout or glitch. I walked all over the audience area, mixing with my ipad, but spent most of the gig behind the last row, at least 200 feet away from the AC1750. It was only sitting about 2 feet off the ground on a chair, with no WAN, just the mixer. Most of the time, the iPad doesn't cooperate without an internet connection, but for some reason, it never prompted me and asked to "use without internet".
Anyway, I'm so happy to find a router that works well for outdoor gig, I'm considering getting another for my house.

Great home router!

Replacing an older router, I researched all the router reviews before buying the Netgear AC1750. My criteria included ease of setup, speed, range, have 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz capability and most of all, "bang for my $bucks." The AC1750 delivered beyond my expectations for speed, and range. Overall, our internet connection speeds went up by factor of 10. Very happy with consistent 115 Mbs download and 12 Mbs upload on 5Ghz, and 99 Mbs download, 11 Mbs upload on 2.4Ghz on Spectrum Cable Internet.
The AC1750 is perfect for our medium sized home and the way we use the internet for surfing websites, streaming movies and shows on Netflix and Hulu. I feel all my criteria for a home router have been met.

Excellent router

This is an amazing router. The distance it sends the WiFi signal without losing bandwidth amazes me. I live in a split level home and I converted half of the garage to a room. My modem is in this room so it's basically in the garage and sends a strong signal 70 ft away to my living room. The dual band is reallly great with the 2.4g line being the best for distance and the 5g for the closer devices. The value is unmistakable in this router. You won't be disappointed with your purchase. Also, for those of you who are not tech savvy I don't fosee you having any issue setting it up. It's user friendly and the functionality of the Netgear app makes setup quick and seamless. I would recommend this router to everyone.

Amazing Wifi Range

The best part about this router is the signal strength/range. I live in a medium-sized apartment: it's older, with the walls between living room + kitchen + bedroom easily blocking signal. My routers are in the living room, and my bedroom is at the opposite end furthest away from them. I had a WiFi extender in use to strengthen the signal so it'd reach my bedroom; but even in that case the speed wasn't optimized and the signal could be lost occasionally. With the NETGEAR router my WiFi signal is powerful and the speed doesn't diminish when in my bedroom - signal + speed are as good in there as they are in the living room right in front of the routers. I hope that the quality of this NETGEAR router make it last for a good while - I've had zero issues and this thing has been great.

Happy I switched from Apple

I had the latest model (and last produced) of Apple's AirPort Extreme for 5 years. It did the job until I got into competitive gaming and started transferring large files for work. I upgraded my internet to 300mbps, but the Airport couldn't handle it.
Enter Netgear. Wow. It was a breeze to set up (unlike the Airport which kept losing sync with the modem) and we now get WiFi in parts of the apartment we couldn't before. Our speeds are blazing fast and we never have issues that cause us to restart the router (the airport was getting rebooted almost daily). One of the greatest things I was missing is the QoS prioritization. Now I can tell the router to prioritize gaming and streaming while phone backups etc have a minimal impact on speeds.
I don't know why I didn't switch sooner.

Amaziiiing!

I'm the owner of my first home and it happens to be a two story house. I was scammed by my local provider (won't name company specifically) into using their own router and modem. After the first couple of days with their router I was already disappointed. Fast forward to a week later (and loooots of long phone calls to my provider), I decided to save myself many more headaches and was recommended by a co-worker (& tech-enthusiast) this netgear router. It had amazing reviews as well. Ever since I received this router & a new modem, I have never had a problem with my internet! Glad I purchased this product as it has saved me many headaches! The internet is fast and I don't have to worry about outsiders with my same provider stealing my WiFi. I also love the app and that you can edit your WiFi names easily and access updates. Thanks so much for an awesome product!

I recently switched ISP for a faster and more efficient service and I've always used Netgear so this time I wanted to try out the Nighthawk because of its specs and great reviews. With its user-friendly and easy to use DNS settings, I was online in no time. If you are looking for a reliable high end router that won't break the bank, this is it!
