No issues after 2 years

We bought this router after ditching the cable company's leased modem and router combo. We bought it based on many reviews and we haven't had any major issues. There have been times when the signal goes dead, but I'm fairly sure it's the internet service provider or if it's the modem. It isn't a consistent problem, but it pops up every once in a while. The whole system has to reset itself. The range is pretty good even in a two story house. We've been pretty happy overall. I'm not sure what more I could ask for from this router.

Improved Speeds over modem/router combo

I upgraded from a cheap modem/router combo (different brand than Netgear) to a setup with the AC1750 and an accompanying CM400 modem and have experienced vastly improved wifi speeds as well as stability. My ISP plan is 165 Mbps but on the previous setup I averaged only ~50Mbps download speeds as well as intermittent interruptions to the signal. Now with the AC1750 I'm consistently testing at 170+ Mbps on wifi and have virtually no signal interruptions. Well worth the purchase to both switch from a modem/router combo and step up into a higher tier of product.

Excellent and powerful router

Although I do not use all the features that I could, it is loaded with them. The main thing I am impressed with is up time and coverage. It has never went down except due to power outages and me booting it because of an old firestick that I have that has trouble connecting at times (did it with previous routers as well). The coverage is amazing. My neighbors on all sides can see me as a viable option and I have it located in my basement. That's about 1/2 acre of coverage. Maybe its more, I haven't checked - but for the price that kind of coverage is impressive!

Expectations exceeded

When making the purchase of this router I already suffered through poor router range being in a 3,000 sq.ft. Home. I thought, 'Maybe this will reach a little further?' As soon as I installed the router and began using it, it exceeded all of my expectations. I am beyond satisfied with the range and it's performance. The user interface is easy to use as well. Granting you complete control of all connected devices. I have recommended this router countless times to friends and family and they were pleased with the purchase as well. I'll be remaining with this type of router for a while.

Quality Router

Recently installed this router after tiring of the one provided by my ISP. I am a Senior Computer System Engineer. I wanted something powerful, easy (I do enough tech work at work), but that was full featured. This router looks good, has great range, top tier throughput, and meets all my needs. I generally have 4-5 cell phones, a desktop, 4 TV's, 3 Macbooks, and several connected home devices chugging along. I split the devices between 2g and 3g based on range and speed need and everything just works. Love the mobile app also. Helps if I want to change something and I am out in the yard. Overall a great investment for a great price.

Simple set up - blazing fast

We had a lousy combination modem/router supplied by our internet company. Finally got smart and bought this Netgear router. My internet company said my laptop was slow because it was old and didn't support 5g networks. This Netgear router is so fast it breathed new life into my laptop at 2.4ghz speed. Now I don't need a new laptop. I turned off the WiFi I my combination modem/router and now just use the modem as modem and the Netgear router runs everything else. Only regret, I should have done this years ago instead of trying to use the WiFi in modem. So glad I bought this dedicated router. Absolute love it, if that is possible!

Set Up

This is a great unit and it works very well. The only problem was the instructions were not very good. We down loaded the app. and it took me right to where the hook up page was, It did not say that we had to do a set up and down load update. As we were trying to do the down load it keep giving us an error message. We along with our cable company contacted tech support. We still kept getting an error message until all of a sudden the unit said that it was connected to the internet.We are still not sure what made it connect or if we down loaded the update, but it working great and has not given us any problems since. Do we recommend this unit? YES!

Great for a large family

We are a family of seven in a 3000 square foot house, and there isn't a dead spot in the place. We use our WiFi on thirteen devices on a daily basis, and have not experienced lag or other difficulties with an overloaded WiFi system. It is easy to tinker with filter settings from the NETGEAR app. The model we own doesn't have all the filtering features we want, so we purchased a Disney Circle to pair with it, and have found it meets our needs. I understand that NETGEAR now sells a product that includes Disney Circle, which is wonderful for families looking to monitor electronic usage among family members. We strongly recommend NETGEAR to anyone wanting a reliable WiFi router.
