Glad I didn't need a mesh router for $$$!

This is serving as wi-fi for a two story, 2500 sq ft home. Good coverage throughout. No dropouts. Easy setup. Speed and bandwidth have been good despite having 2 or 3 of our five kids online at the same time. Just using the basic functionality. I haven't used any of the special features. I recommended that my sister buy one. She did, and she's had no problems with it in her home. I think it's a good value in a midrange router.

Works amazing

The router overall is amazing it's well put together and I love the 5Gh as a second connection it really boosts your connection and makes it so much easier to load websites and if you watch YouTube makes it amazing for video streaming as well as gaming. The router takes gaming to a whole new level and I love it I used to have awful connection but ever since I got the router it runs amazing at an amazing speed especially on pc games

AC1750 Smart Wi-Fi Router (R6400)

I have been using Netgear routers since 1997. My 10 year old RangeMax needed to be replaced to achieve the bandwidth now available from my ISP [Comcast].
With a minimum of research it was clear that the R6400 was my best cost/benefit value.
Easy setup via browser, 2.4 and 5 GHz speed and good coverage for a 2 story 3,000sf house.
P.S. The Macintosh version of the Netgear Genie app is a little buggy on OSX 10.11.6 so I don't use it.

Perfect for our household

Bought this router in hopes of getting better coverage in our house AND to give my wife control over the kids' internet use. All I can say is YESSS! It worked perfectly for both. The 5G stream to our tlelvision has ended some of the lag we had with our service provider's WiFi router. The Genie app has worked great for my non-technically inclined wife. Kids hate that our internet service now has so many 'interruptions' ;).

Best Budget router hands down!

This router is absolutely amazing! With the ability to easily share files and the built in usb if amazing. Also the speeds are phenomenal I pay for 200 mbps wifi and get all of my speed with the little to no buffer time. Would definitely recommend to anyone in need of a new and/or better router than they have! Range on this is also not a problem and can easily cover a 1000 square foot home.Overall best router for your money hands down!!

Online is NECESSARY

Wow! what a huge difference this router made for me! I keep streaming devices, tablet, and phone online most of the time. My older router would have to be reset (unplug-wait plug back in) more and more often, usually in the middle of a movie I was watching. I wasn't sure if it was my provider or my router. My old router was ok, but this is such an upgrade! I am glad it came with security features so others can't just get on my home network.

First WiFi Router That's Never Dropped Signal

EVERY SINGLE Wi-Fi router I've ever owned had consistently dropped signal. Sometimes several times a day. The R6400 is the first I've ever owned that has had ZERO issues. And Next to having a custom flashed appliance or business class firewall, the Netgrar R6400 has the most features ever. Too many to even list here! I have recommended this router to friends and family, and the ones who took my advice are very happy with their decision.

Super easy install

Moved into new location so needed a router to go along with the cable modem. Unpackaged and installed within 15 minutes using the procedure and my smart phone, including reading the instructions. All devices (Windows, Apple iOS, and Android) connected easily, including file sharing between my Apple MacBookPro and Windows 10 desktop. (My cable company only has 200 mb bandwidth at the moment and the modem / router location needs to be optimized.)
