Should’ve made the switch sooner

Should’ve made the switch sooner. Bought the modem router a while back, didn’t want the hassle of setting it up, so it sat. Finally, but the bullet. We did not realize how quickly and easy set was. Now we have our own modem router and not someone else’s. Love it

Best bit of gear

I'm glad I purchased this as I cant run LAN cable to where I wanted my network printer and its not wireless. I now can run my printer (and other wireless things) from this and saved me lots of money trying to run cable to this awkward spot in the house.

Setup as range extender

so far, so good, added some netgear access points and range extenders, I specifically chose the 6250 as it has a LAN connector as I find the wifi connection more stable.

Since I went back to my own modem router by NetGear my TV service has improved dramatically…like when I change stations there is no hesitations and no hiccups of jitter on a movie screen that I’m watching at the time. This was all happening when I was with Xfinity, so I’m excited to be back to NetGear.

I’ve been using the NETGEAR R6400v2 for a while now, and I continue to be impressed by how well it holds up—even in 2025. Setup was straightforward and user-friendly, and the interface gives you just the right level of control without being overly complicated.
