Difficult Setup and Limited Connectivity

I moved to a new house on January 31, and from the start, I had trouble connecting to WiFi. The SSID wasn’t found, and I struggled to set up the router. I finally managed to connect after resetting the modem four times. Even then, I couldn’t access routerlogin.net and was forced to use the Nighthawk app on my mobile phone, which wasn’t ideal.
After setting it up, only one device could connect to the WiFi. Other devices showed they were connected to the router but had no internet access. I tried changing the DNS and doing a factory reset, but nothing worked. It’s frustrating to have these issues. I expected better reliability and easier setup from NETGEAR.

Slower and bad app experience

After installing this, my WiFi went from almost never having issues or dropping quality in video, but now that it’s installed I constantly get low latency notifications while gaming and my streaming resolution drops. The app’s speed test won’t even work, even after following its instructions to reset the router. Going back to my old one.

WiFi Router purchase

The netgear WiFi router was very easy to set up. Love the nighthawk app to fine tune your personal settings. This is our 2nd netgear router since they’re so easy to install and always seem to be a good device to go with.

Brought this WiFi modem router in October of 2022. The unit has been a mainstay for me to receive/send emails, pay bills online, and basically stay connected to the world. The Netgear modem is my lifeline.

Works fine at first and then chokes my whole wifi system

Works fine for a few weeks and then chokes my wifi. Access through the extender stops working and it blocks off internet access through the primary router. Incredibly frustrating.
