I’ve used this for years and my connection speeds are always reliable. Setup is also very easy.

I recently switched to my Netgear versus my local internet provider's equipment. I wish I should have done so earlier!

as we had 1 free year subscription of Armor, the paid portion from the old router should be applied for a second year.

Good performance, but overheating.

Setup is not easy, need to register and set up thru app, than you need to set up thru internet provider, it's 2 step setup, don't matter which one you do first. Once it's up and running, performs very well, but than, as with all the Netgear, it overheats. So, I took it apart and added big heatsink on top of the silver one, not the black on the bottom. now it's perfect. I had some old heatsink, just placed it upside down, between the ribs, enough to take some heat off the existing one. Once in a while, need to factory reset, when 2.4Ghz is lost, the light is on but devices won't see it. Netgear, put bigger heatsink (taller ribs, add 1/2 inch, more of them, spaced them 1/8 apart) do not put fan, fix the 2.4Ghz radio, will be 5 star.
