Better than our old one

This modem router is much better than our old one, but once you leave the room the router is in, the signal strength goes from excellent to fair. It is supposed to cover a home over 2000sq ft. My home is only 1400 sq feet. I was hoping for strength to be closer to excellent in the entire home.

Either defective or bad

My AC1750 cannot run with both its 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz radios on simultaneously. When doing so, it constantly and randomly reboots (I think due to overheating). Fine to use for a wired connection, but forced to use only 2.4 GHz to run smart devices and unable to use 5 GHz for computers due to afforementioned limitation.
