Its not too hard or easy to setup. I do not see any measurable impact but for the money its works I guess. Took a while to find the app and then setup.

The router is working great for us! I was able to update the software just recently which was a real struggle for me due to the fact that I couldn't remember the password or purchase date and I am not a tech genius by any means, the opposite actually.
