This combo modem router is really easy to set up. I have Comcast and it was a cinch. I really like the security features that come with the Netgear app, nighthawk.

Enjoying my new NETGEAR WiFi Cable Modem Router

I was offered to purchase a new route/modem from our cable company after getting an upgrade on our internet connection speed. It was not a Netgear item and this is the brand I tend to stick with. I mean, stick with what you know,,, right? I have used this brand for many years and I have NEVER had any issues with their products. My new modem/router was simple to install and started things rolling immediately after installing.

Simple and easy to setup Router/Modem

I chose this over getting the one that comes with my ISP for an additional monthly amount.
I get 800Mbs internet and this thing provides this speed efficiently through the walls in my apartment.
As a general router protocol, be aware of how many wifi signals are being shared on a channel, as it made my internet occasionally spotty.

Great product overall. Great speeds and able to handle all of my devices. Unfortunately, the router fried when a snow storm came through cutting off our power.

Stop working

I recently purchased a Wi-Fi extender for my home. I installed according to the instructions that came with the extender. The Wi-Fi extender worked for approximately 2 weeks than stopped. I contacted tech support an after an hour on the phone all I got was the device could possibly have a software issue. Now I’m waiting to see if I can exchange the extender for another one.
