This Netgear has gone without any hitches from April to November. In November the power went out. The Netgear did not turn on. The support of Netgear was phenomenal. I am very familiar with modems routers and computers and begin with computers in 1986. I have never run into a problem, which I could not solve with any of these. The Netgear issue was beyond my knowledge. Also beyond the agents knowledge he had to ask 2 levels up to get the answer. Now is my Netgear or any other modem router goes out, I will be able to fix it. I doubt I will have to contact Netgear for any other problems. I doubt I’ll have anymore problems with this Netgear 6300.

Good and bad

Have had Netgear in the past. Very happy with it, just felt 8 years it was old. Bought the Netgear with Blackhawk installation for seamless easy installation. Installation was anything but easy. Not real tech person here. 1 hour 46 minutes later it was running. That man had the patience of Job!

Very crappy router

The router is constantly dropping signal. I can be right next to it and have no wifi but my provider has no outage and says I should be getting a gig. I understand this router can't support a gig, but I should not have all these problems.

New router

Old router went down so we purchased a new netgear router. Works well so far. For some reason it slows down our speed. We have 1 gig to modem and only 200 coming from router. Tech said it may need an update or firm ware update. We'll try that.

I have a netgear and a done had it for like 2 weeks now and at first it was ruff getting it setup and and then I took a deep breathe. i got it done because im good with electronics as well
