Successful Upgrade

My modem was about 5 years old and our internet speed was much slower than our plan supposedly provided. I decided to upgrade in hopes of improving the speed. After several failed attempts to get it to work with Xfinity, I contacted user support. It took a while to resolve but the agent finally got it to work. Two networks show up. One as NetgearXX and the other as NetgearXX-5G. The 5G is much faster but does not show up on my Roku. Speed is still better than the old one. I use the 5G on my iPad and iPhone. Works great.

Fast, simple, strong

The modem itself is simple, sleek, and easy to set up. Integrates well with my ISP. The Nighthawk app is easy to use and gives useful status updates. Overall, would recommend for anyone looking for a simple, easy modem/router combo.

We got hit by lightning, and our modem/router got fried. This replacement is the same as the fried modem. Works great.

Set-Up Connectioon

At this juncture the router/modem is working well. We have had Netgear products in the past and wanted to continue with a familiar brand. The only issue was getting our mobile devices and tablets to connect, we first had to use our laptop to change/create a network name and password (the required screen never showed up on our portable devices).
