More cooking for same footprint

I think the design and placement of the 5 burners is quite good. This cooktop fits in the same space as our old 4 burner cooktop. IOW, more burners for the same footprint.

Too Hot

We bought a Cafe cooktop two years ago and it is probably the worst cooktop I have ever owned. I am looking for a replacement and it won't be another Cafe. It was rated so high but I don't see why. It is almost impossible to hold your hand over your pot and stir because the heat coming up over the sides of the pot burns your hands and arms, and I don't have the flame too high. The aluminum knobs that turn the burners on have all melted. I had one replaced before the warrantee was up but now all the rest of them are a mess. I am thinking that this stove top is unsafe.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best cooktop ever!

This is the best product I have ever used. With this cooktop, I feel like I’m one of the chefs on the Food Network. It cooks my food perfectly, and everything tastes amazing. It’s just the best product I could have ever had. I love this cooktop. Thank you, GE!

Bad design quality.

Decent but the knobs have started melting and peeling, looks awful now and only used for about 2 months.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This product cooks fine; however, all the knobs have chipped and the cooktop itself is stained with spatter spots and I can not get rid of them.
I had this product installed less than nine months. I do not think I would buy again.
