The dimensions of this product- total depth and location of the gas valve is different than previous GE Cafe model stove that I replaced. This has caused me to modify my top drawer underneath the stove.

Superb design

Very often, the simpler the design, the more efficient and functional. This cooktop has nice heavy greats that are easily removed. The material to clean is unencumbered and the burner controls are right upfront, easy to use.

Serious Concern

I’m very disappointed with the quality of the Café cooktop. After only a few months of use, the knobs started warping and melting due to heat exposure from the burners. This isn’t just a cosmetic issue—it’s a serious safety hazard.
For a high-end appliance, this is completely unacceptable. I expected better materials and design from Café.

I love Cafe by GE. I only have GE appliances, they are superior and they last. The cafe line is both beautiful and functional. The ONLY reason I didn’t give a 5 on this is I would have loved the matte white v the stainless, but it wasn’t an option. It’s an outstanding cooktop.
I would recommend this to a friend!
