It's really good but last night it didn't work

Last night I had to call blink. Talked to a man in Bulgaria.. not knowing this phone call would charge me 30$ because of long distance..our camera would not work. The man did fix the problem! Thanks for that. I was really shocked that I got a 30$ charge

Do not trust camera to protect your home

I have owned this product for about an year and I would not recommend the Blink XT2 to protect your home. There are quite a few limitations that make this video camera just a toy rather than a serious tool,
1. Motion Sensor - A person can walk in front of the camera, stay there for a few minutes and walk away and this camera would not record a thing, but a squirrel would run across and this camera would catch the whole motion.
As per Blink support, this camera does not support what they call 'Blended Networks', where a single SSID is generated for both 2.4G and 5G Wi-Fi signals, what the Netgear Orbi and many Wireless MESH systems have. So if you have a Wireless MESH or Router that does a single SSID this camera will be very unreliable. I have plenty of Smart Home devices that connect to the 2.4G spectrum without any issues.
2. Live View fails every 2 out of 3 times and when it does connect, it takes ages for the feed to show up.
3. Battery life is horrendous - I barely get a month out of a set of batteries. As per Blink Support, this is because they only recommend Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries.
4. The battery leads inside the camera is showing signs of oxidization, which makes me question this camera's outdoor capabilities as well.
I just replaced this with an Anker Eufy Camera system, and for the time being it's far better than what this product is.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Livestream Glitch??

Got mine last june2020. Noticed last month there was live stream views on the log, live stream that we never triggered, very suspiscious because we never held our phone and never use the app. Tried calling the technical support but they keep on telling me that someone from us were tapping the live stream. Very scary.i wont recommend this product!
