I am so excited about my new food processor! I have not yet tried all the features, but all so far have worked smoothly. Since I have been cooking for more than 50 years and teach classes, I have worn out 3 processors. When I went back to the brand I had always used for a new one, I found that the only thing worse than the new machine was the customer service. I returned that one and bought the Breville. I could not be more pleased with the machine and the service. Even though the price was considerably higher, I think it will surely be worth the investment.
It is a great product. Does what is advertised. Many different functions all parts needed are carefully stored in a nice storage bin where everything is labeled.
I bought this unit over a year ago, past the expiration of the warrantee period. The motor died and I had to pay to get a new unit. I was surprised as I have had two Vita mix units and a Kitchen aid mixer and those motors lasted for years and are still running. SO I was disappointed in the life expectancy of that unit. However, I do like the Sous Chef and I am happy with the results of the prepared food that I process through it. I would recommend it if you cook a lot and appreciate the time saving aspect of a machine to reduce repetitive activities, which is the primary reason I got it.
