Only One Complaint

I've had this food processor for about seven months. Use it three to four times a month. It's a steep learning curve! But, I love it. Would like to have a specialized Parmesan shredder. But, other than that, this machine does it all! My only complaint is storing the peeling disk (my favorite accessory) back into its spot in the holder. If the dicing disk isn't placed just right, it's impossible to get the peeler back into place. Other than that, I love this machine. Much better than my Cuisinart and light years years better than the Magimix I had for a while. Seems like a sturdy machine. Looking forward to many years use. Love it, love it, love it.

Best Food Processor EVER!!

I did my homework. I do a lot of food prep for various situations and really wanted something that would dice well. I feel like I hit the jackpot when I found the Sous Chef 16. Not only do I use it often (I rarely bothered pulling out my old processors; they weren't worth the effort), but my best friend, who owns one of the highest rated restaurants in our area, has been coming over weekly to do some of her prep work until the one she has on order finally arrives. (We call the SC 16 "Ms. B"). My favorite features are the dicer and the peeler. They make a previously dreaded effort absolutely painless - and F-A-S-T! I love, love, love this processor. Thank you Breville!

Love this machine! And, I haven't even used all the features yet! I've had the processor a few months now. Use it primarily on weekends. It's really fast. It's thorough (extremely little to no pieces left un-grated/un-shredded/un-processed). Cleans up easily. It's footprint is smaller than other countertop appliances I have. The organizer is clearly labeled, so it's easy to put accessories back in their storage container. Even though the product itself is 5 stars and, obviously, the primary factor, I'd also rate the owner's manual as 5 star. It clearly explains each component, how to install it, and what it does. Great work, Breville!

It does take up a lot of space on my counter but I still love this machine! The machine is quick and precise. The only thing I don’t like is cleaning the dicer. It is very sharp and I have cut myself on several occasions. It takes a lot of time to clean out the food from the squares and then it still seems to be dirty after cleaning it. Some of the smaller non square holes make it even harder. I did purchase the extra dicing disks and those actually seem easier to clean and the smaller non square holes are closed.

First food processor that I am using every day

This is my third food processor. My other two are simply too much cleaning and never consistent cut. This one, I use every day. Chopping the onions is something I always struggled with. I was never able to get same size onions... some parts of the onions would be a mush and other parts would still need processing. With this machine, and I have it since November 2017, I never have that problem. Chopping garlic is a breeze. As far as FF potato cut, it is not straight, but it is ok. Peeling disk is great, but for the best results, I look for more round potatoes on the market. Dicing id fun! I am a little disappointed that my additional free disks are still MIA, but I trust I will get them by Christmas (not sure on the year).

Great processor. This food processor makes slicing so easy. I’ve used it on many different kinds of fruits and vegetables and it works great. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is that the dicing is too small and it would be better if the dicing size could be adjusted just like the slicing does. I don’t want to have to buy and store another dicing kit.

The motor runs like a dream, the slicing and s blades are wonderful. When you peel, the insert get stick in the peeling disk every time, got pinched multiple times trying to get it out. Helps to push the metal part upside down on a folded towel. Very bulky holders for the blades, need to budget more storage room for the blades than the unit itself. Cleans easily.
