I was eyeing this food processor for a while, trying to decide if I should splurge or not. I had an old Cuisinart 11 cup that was a good machine in its day. However, I had to replace one of the parts in the lid and it was not cheap. The quality of that replacement part was not good. I then went to a store to check out the Breville, as I had been hearing some good things. The difference in quality is night and day. While it seems expensive, you really do get quite a few pieces in the kit. I’ve had enough time now to try everything out and I must say I am impressed. The peeling is pretty amazing, as long as you are reasonable in your expectations. A small bit of cleanup is necessary, but the time savings is tremendous. The small bowl is something I didn’t think I would need/use, but it’s really nice. The S blades are great. They do a nice job. I don’t know if it’s the design or the power or both, but it’s more consistent than my old machine. The variable slicing disc is awesome. I had multiple slicing discs for my old machine and having one adjustable disc is great. The timer is also a nice feature for peeling and kneading dough. The base is weighty, so the machine doesn’t “jump” when kneaded nag, etc. I leave mine on the counter, but I could see it being difficult to take out/put away. I’m very happy with my purchase and should get many years of use. I checked replacement part pricing and it is reasonable. Customer support seems good as well from what I’ve seen in the review/comment sections. This is my second Breville product (the other is a waffle iron) and I am impressed with both from a quality and usability perspective). My only gripe is that the 8mm and 16mm dicing kits are optional and are hard to find in stock. Mine are on back order. I wish there was a SKU that included all 3 sizes of dicing.

Folks I will admit, this food processor is expensive,but I believe this is the best. I had a different brand that was rated pretty high and this Breville knocked it out of my kitchen. Sorry, but not in the same league. I also believe that you are paying for a name. This is our fifth Breville product and we may be partial to Breville,but every Breville machine we own has worked flawlessly and going to last a lifetime. Quality over and over. Great job Breville, keep up the good work.
