Poor Quality Plastic Used (susceptible to easy breakage)

I purchased this processor around 2 years ago and it's a great machine until you drop or bump a part, Lid, Bowl, Pusher. The plastic used in the product is Extremely brittle and will crack with the slightest impact. In the time I've owned it I've replaced the bowl twice, the pusher once and now the lid is broken. For whatever reason, a replacement lid has been unavailable for at least the 2 months I have been looking for one. The machine is totally useless without a lid. This is probably going in the trash soon and I will go to a competitor.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Spindle is turning, blade not working, cracked bowl

I was so excited to buy 4 years ago, but after 2 uses the blade stopped cutting, I hear the spindle turning but feels heavy even though I had some tomato in it, turning without the blade cutting. I tried to put different vegetables but still rotating without cutting. Never going to buy a breville again.

2nd round of ordering a new bowl and feed chute

The first bowl ended up shedding black plastic chunks and the feed chute insert cracked and harbored water. The replacement bowl ended up fracturing all around the base, near the spindle, and is now unstable for the blades. The feed chute insert has cracked again. I know, your thinking "how long does she run the blades for"? and the answer is less than 2 minutes at a clip, since with my first bowl I ended up eating black plastic chunks after I had run the machine for 3 minutes. I am debating on whether or not to buy a Cxxxxxxt (Breville site will not publish this if I mention the name... but had the C for 15 years, never had to replace a part other than the keypad sticker) or cross my fingers that bowl number 3 and feed chute are going to be different. If I were a dreamer, the bowl would be made of either glass or stainless steel. The upside is that the motor is a workhorse, I love the adjustable slicing blades, the small bowl is very handy, banana ice cream is a breeze without having to add liquid with the lower blade in place.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I really wanted to like this dicing disc set but after using it a couple of times I’m still on the fence whether it was worth the cost (plus the purchase of the items individually to make it compatible with my sous chef). The dicing discs are difficult to clean and I had to use a chopstick to poke out the veggies left in the disc. There is definitely a learning curve I need to overcome. Maybe with more practice it will get easier.

Great power, but small bowl is useless

I purchased this model to replace two food processors (one small, one larger), thinking it would be great to have one do everything I need. The processor is very powerful and the timer is a nice touch. However, the small bowl leaks into the large bowl EVERY time, making you wash both bowls! It needs to have some sort of soft gasket to seal it. Also, it's impressive to have a zillion attachments, but I've only used the basic blade, the shredder and the slicer discs. The rest are taking up real estate in my cupboards.

My husband bought this for me to replace an older one, and I absolutely despise it. I use it mainly to make homemade hummus on a regular basis, so just mushing up beans basically, and the bowl has cracked 4 times. There has to be some kind of design flaw causing this, and I strongly suggest against buying this for that reason. You will need to replace the bowl often, and it's been a huge pain to find one available/in stock, aside from the added expense. Just buy something else!

A powerful food processor and I am please with my purchase. But, I when I add nuts to a recipe I have to be careful. It chops the nut to a flour then I need more liquids and I end up with "no" nuts in my food.
