Substandard material

The good: For several years, I was very pleased with this machine. There’s a lot of versatility and it performs well. Great if you prep a lot of vegetables, and the variable sized slicer and dual grater are especially useful.
Not so great: After 3 or so years, the work bowl cracked. To be fair, it was outside the warranty, so I didn’t contact Breville. It leaked slightly, but was still useable. Over the next year, a chink fell off the bottom, (still useable), and the center portion broke off (completely hooped at this point). This appliance is well used, but always hand washed and never dropped. Breville is cheaping out on their components - I’ve used several brands decades longer than this, and had no issues at all with the vessel and lid material.
In summary: Great unit, if you’re okay with potentially paying for another vessel in a few years - I’ve since seen numerous other similar complaints. This is not acceptable for the price these command - pay a few hundred more, and get a commercial Robot Coupe.
An aside: Breville customer service was rudest phone ‘support’ ever, quite early in, just as an added bonus.
