I’ve had this machine for a few years and love it, but the bowl cracked after about a year in and since then has been impossible to buy. I’ve been in contact with Breville to get one but since I live in Canada they can’t sell me one from their site. I’ve finally had to break down and buy a bowl from Amazon for almost triple the price of what it’s listed for on their direct site. While it’s a great machine I will never buy Breville again if this is the type of support given to their Canadian customers.

Breville Food Processor

I returned this item as it’s too heavy for me to lift in and out of a cupboard. I would like to purchase the 12 cup when it comes back into stock. Why advertise a product when you don’t have it available?

Disappointed

In general, a very good food processor - works as advertised. Our disappointment comes from the fact that the center spindle of the main bowl expands over time - from use and/or from washing. The result is that none of the accessories fit any more making them useless.
We had been using the unit regularly for about 12 months before we had to contact Breville to get a new main bowl (under warranty). The second bowl 'failed' after another 12 months; however, the warranty had now expired.
We returned that entire unit under the Best Buy extended warranty and purchased an Oster food processor for about $80.

Too many cons for the expensive price tag

I did an extensive researches prior making the purchase was hoping for the best. I have not try bread dough or whipping yet and will try it later. My observation: Cons: 1) the blade cut into the bowl when I make nut flour. I called the breville to get a new bowl 2) I was using the smaller bowl to make mayonnaise and it over spilled to the larger bowl. Very useless and I can probably do better with my hand blender 3) the grating job was not as clean as I expected 4) you need the food pusher to touch the bowl before the machine can work. Lots of good reviews online but I find it as a drawback. If I have taller foods (but not as thin as carrot to go into the smaller feed tube), the processor won't work. 5) you don't want to use this food processor for just one chopping job, because there are a lot of washing down to do. 6) If you have small space. This food processor comes with a very big box of tools. It's so far OK for me at this moment. 7) price point! Ouch! Pro: 1) it does my pie and cookie dough nicely when I put in a refrigerated/harden butter. It's better than my stand mixer 2) it is powerful but it caused cons #1 and #2 3) quick chopping if you have a lot of veggie to cut, if small quantity then refer to cons #5. 4) very good customer service with Breville, and long warranty period

Unfortunately we didn’t even open the box. It was damaged, plastic bags were hanging from a ripped hole in the box and it looked beaten up.

Problem with replacement parts
on December 8, 2020

I got a BFP800XL model from Best Buy a few years ago and I love it, but the bowl cracked. I have been trying for 4-6 months to get a replacement part. I have tried multiple company emails and phone calls to Breville canada and Breville USA. I just hung up after no answer -on hold for 1hr 22 min with the Canada division again. This is apparently a chronic problem with parts, there are multiple postings about this on the internet about this issue.
