Pricy; hope it’s worth it.

The big fridge died, so my wife and I decided to down-size a bit (since we’re empty nesters). We already have the GE Cafe induction range, so we kept with GE. The Cafe fridge very quiet, cooled down fast, and is quite handsome. What I can’t fathom, is why GE didn’t get an Energy Star rating for this line of fridge. I won’t make this as a point of contention because the old fridge was from 1985. I mentioned down-sizing; yep, that’s something to get adjusted to, but we really like the flush countertop fit.

So far there are some things we don’t like and things we do for the bad, we wished the stainless matched the oven, dishwasher and Advantium oven. The front to back level is way off, approximately 1/4-3/8”. So much when you raise the front rollers as high as the go and the refrigerator is next to a straight wall, the bottom is about about an 1” comparted to the top. Had to shim the back up just so it at least appears level.
Had to lower the temperature to 34 F to get the top shelf to 37 F. Milk went bad to quick two different times.
For the good, we like the style and looks of the Cafe appliances. Hope we enjoy the refrigerator and it gives us many years of service. We will see I guess.

Reminds you to close the door

I have a problem with tge ice dispenser. Too much crushed ice spills onto floor instead of going into the glass

Not sure if it is worth the money

The freezer space design is not efficient and need to break down boxes to fit. The ice cube formation is erratic.
