Mixed bag

It does protect the phone on both sides but being hard plastic, not sure it would cushion much if it fell. Agree with other reviews, it's too slippery and hard to keep clean from fingerprints.The older silicon version I had with my S7 was better.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I want to add that the case has protected my phone from several serious drops (I also still have the factory screen protecting film on). Its a bit scratched and fingerprints easily but overall I am still pleased. I owned the S8 version and do prefer the feeling, texture and kickstand features but I think this one secured and protected my phone more. My S8's screen broke on its first major drop one month in after flying out of the case and hitting the pavement a second time. Not so with this one. If you typically like the S-view cases then you will still like this one. Only request is more color options. Not a fan of the white & black is boring. Miss the purple especially.

I have loved the previous Samsung cases, however this case is worse than having no case at all. It does not protect the phone and the material is very poor quality. A big step backwards for Samsung.

i only had my s10 plus a week and dropped it and it cracked the screen.
my s9 plus had been dropped over a hundred times and the screen never cracked. and like other reviews the cover never stays closed and everytime i dropped it the case would open face down. really disappointed with this case and also in the toughness of the s10 plus. cheap screen.
