Having had Otterbox cases before, I was after one for my new S10e.
With working outdoors having covers for the ports is a really helpful factor, and the case has a really significant lip which means that even if you drop the phone face down, unless its on very uneven surfaces, then you should get away without damaging the phone.
Yes the cases are expensive but you get what you pay for.

This is my second Defender. I had a Galaxy S5 with a Defender cover. Upgraded to Galaxy S10e and the cover Verizon provided was not stellar. Went right to OtterBox and lo! There was the Defender for my new phone! I would NEVER use another case. The Defender is thick, sturdy, durable, and provides the protection it promises. Worth the money!

Always have gotten an Otterbox for all my phones. They offer the best protection for your phone and I lead an active life and work outside so it's a good investment. Only problem I had was the box moved the glass on my phone and I couldn't fix it. They didn't before. ???
