Won’t use any other case than OtterBox Defender

I’ve used OtterBox Defender on my last three iPhones. This past summer, the day before I was going on vacation, I was taking my two dogs to the vet. When I got to the vet I realized that I didn’t have my phone, and when I got home I couldn’t find my phone anywhere. Then I vaguely remembered putting my iPhone on top of my car before I left for the vet. Using Find my iPhone, we determined that my phone was about a mile from my house. We went searching for, and found it on the side of the road, it must’ve lasted a mile before it flew off the top of my car. To my surprise, there was not a mark or scratch on the phone, and it worked perfectly! I just got a new iPhone, and the sales woman tried to talk me into another brand of case, but I said no way! I just got the Defender and the Alpha Glass for iPhone xs, the Alpha Glass was very easy to install, and I feel my phone as protected to the max once again!

Not as good as a case with a screen protector

I used to LOVE the Otterbox Defender with a built in screen protector but they don't sell that for the Iphone XS Max. This screen protector leaves a small gap on all sides which dirt quickly collects in.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We sincerely apologize that this Alpha Glass isn't checking all of your boxes so far! The slight gap that you're referencing is intentional, and allows for installation variances. Without this space, installing a case over the screen protector would be difficult, and said case might not be able to find perfect compatibility. That being said, we're not a huge fan of debris collecting around the sides, and we would recommend using a small cloth to dust things off. Apparently I am going through a clumsy phase as this is the 3rd one I’ve had to buy in the last 2 weeks. The screen saver absorbed the impact of my drops and shattered instead of my actual screen. The reason why I didn’t give it a 5 star is because of all the product waste that comes with it. I feel the plastics used should be recyclable and possibly not so much packaging.
