I use this filter system for drinking water, cooking and making various types of drinks. It installs separate from your primary faucet. You will need a spare hole in the sink to mount the filter faucet (faucet/fixture provided). If you have a spray want, you can use that hole if you do not have a sink with an extra hole for an additional device (some sinks have four holes, some just three). You can also drill a new hole if you are handy with such matters, or even possibly install it next to the sink, which could become complicated. I simply unattached my spray wand and used that hole, reattaching the spray want under the sink for future reinstall if desired. The flow is not high volume, but for instance an 16 OZ water bottle can be filled in about eight to 10 seconds. The water tastes great and removes bad taste and pollutants very well. It will last much longer than other types of filters, especially pitcher types.
Pros: Clean taste, Durable, Easy to clean, Easy to install, Long lasting filter, Say good bye to water health issues
It was pretty easy to install this filtration system. I wish the handle went from up top to down position clockwise, instead of from down to up counterclockwise.
Pros: Clean taste, Durable, Easy to install, Long lasting filter
After we were informed of an issue concerning our municipal water quality, we started looking around for a filtering system. We started off with a filter pitcher and discovered that the filter needed to be changed every 8 days. It didn't take long to figure out that the pitcher was going to cost too much. After much research, we decided to order the Aquasana 5300. It arrived quickly and was very easy to install. If I had one issue with the system, it would be the rate of water flow.
