Tempted to put much lower than 5 stars due to stubborn leaks. I had to replace one of the ‘sump caps’ twice (the first replacement ended up worse than the original). I also replaced the manifold. Fortunately, their customer service saved the day (actually I consider that it was all due to Amber). The prompts on the review process tell me to keep focused on the product and ‘avoid writing about customer service’. But I cannot separate the two. If my review is only about the product, then look elsewhere! There should not be this type of stubborn problem. I don’t like that I had to throw away two new sump caps even if they were replaced for free because I don’t like the idea of filling up my local landfill. But it was Amber that makes me happy with this product as she helped me troubleshoot where the leak was coming from and then got me sorted with the right parts. And now I have a good water filter system. I like the filtered water but as someone who worked in the drinking water industry several years ago, I’m one who believes that water filters such as these all have similar abilities to remove unwanted components.
water tastes fine. Had the unit professionally installed during kitchen remodel.
Pros: Clean taste, Long lasting filter, Good Water Flow

DO NOT BUY! Canister will leak and cause flooding

Purchased this water filter several years ago and it was working fine. We came home one afternoon and our kitchen was flooded. The hardwood floors had warped and there was water spraying out of the bottom of one of the canisters. From reviews I have read, this is a common problem. I believe a class action law suit should be addressed. I know there are many others out there that have had the same problem. There is no way it is this common and Aquasana doesn't know about it or address it. I would like to add a photo to show the bottom of the cracked canister, since it looks like every other one I have seen in reviews, but the portal won't let me. DO NOT BUY!!!
My unfiltered tap water measures 470 on a Total Dissolved Solids meter. After running the water for more than 10 minutes, I measured the Aquasana filtered water with a Total Dissolved Solids meter and the reading is a disappointing 507! After two weeks of use, the reading has not improved. The water that comes out is also yellowish. Did I get used filter cartridges with my new purchase of the system?
Cons: Cloudy Water

Does not filter metals

Installed as directed. A small leak on one of the sumps was immediately noticed. The big thing though is it doesn't filter heat metals. I tested the water and there was very little change. Only about 1ppb difference in the case of lead. I'm very displeased about that!
I had this installed as part of my kitchen renovation so I can’t speak to how easy or difficult to install as the plumber did with our new sink install. I can say however that our water is amazing now! Prior to this, no one in my home would drink tap water, it smelled horribly of chlorine and the taste was nasty. I was buying bottle water in addition to filters for a jug style filter, now we have a very attractive dedicated faucet for our water consumption and it matches seamlessly with our new faucet. Doing the math for my family, we actually are saving money with this system and we are not contributing to plastics pollution. We also had the system tap into our ice maker, so we have good tasting ice for drinks too!
Pros: Easy to clean, No odor, Clean taste, Nice faucet
