This unit replaced an aging GE Twin Cartridge Under Counter Filter Unit which was showing its age, and replacement filters were becoming increasingly difficult to obtain. Form, fit and function appear superior to GE unit. Time will be the ultimate test, but we are extremely pleased with the Aquasana. Installation was straightforward, with no surprises. My only recommendation would be to substitute the brass T-adapter with one which also has a shut-off valve. I purchased a separate T-adapter with shut-off from a local plumbing store. I like the "insurance" of being able to isolate the filter unit from the main water line "just in case" the unit should ever develop a leak, or when changing the 3 filter elements. While certainly not a requirement, I just prefer to have the shut-off option available. Unit construction is solid, and the end result of great tasting filtered water is assured by the triple stage filtration system. All and all, we're very happy with this unit, and would definitely purchase again ... but I don't expect to for many, many years! Would definitely recommend to others. Thank you Aquasana!
Filters may be great but design/construction can be improved

I am very happy with the filter. However, I do believe that the design and construction can be improved. A few days after we installed our filter, a ring that was glued to the outside of the filter faucet came off; also, the glue holding the ring was falling off and ending up in our glasses of water! We just left it off since it is not a part necessary for the function and scraped off the remaining glue. Aquasana may want to consider removing that ring from the design.
We have used Aquasana filters for several years now. We use under-sink and shower systems. I buy on-the-counter systems for my adult offspring when they move out! The under-sink three-module filter is a terrific upgrade from the two-filter system of about 7 years ago: The faucet has improved quite a bit: No dripping after you shut off and the flow rate is significantly higher, so there's no toe-tapping feeling while filling a water bottle. In addition, the spout is subtly spring-mounted, so if you bump into it with a glass while filling, you don't get the sense that you will bend something or nick a seal. I am very impressed with the engineering that went into the system.
Pros: Clean taste, Easy to change filters, Easy to install, Nice Faucet System
Feel great to have silky and quality water right out of the tap. Installment manual is not the best but acceptable. Restricted water flow is the only downside. All in all, recommanded.
