We use the filter every day to make coffee and to fill our Brita drinking pitcher we keep in the refrigerator. I was first concerned that there seems to be a film on the top of the water and that the water forms bubbles on the surface that don't dissipate right away. The water has a bit of an odd taste to it as well. We are currently filtering the filtered water through a Brita filter to remove these effects.
Pros: Durable, Easy to install, Long lasting filter
I replaced a Seagull IV with the Aquasana 3 stage. I hope it cleans the water as well or better. Hard to tell. Taste is great, easy enough to install. Most impressed with the young lady with whom I spoke when purchasing. Very nice, helpful, courteous. Set me up for purchase, gave me my options, got it out promptly (my old filter failed and I needed it quick) set up future auto-renew filters based on my need rather than the comany's.
this seems to be a quality water filter for drinking and cooking. I am so impressed soon as my current water softener fails I will be upgrading the whole house well system.
Pros: Clean taste, Easy to install, Long lasting filter
I used this to replace a GE RO system. The RO system worked for a 11 years, but had begun to leak in several places. The new Aquasana system pours much more slowly and can't be used practically to pour pasta water or water for soups. It's just too slow. But the taste is very good and it's fast enough for drinking water. I was particularly impressed by its efficiency in removing harmful chemicals. It is also much easier to maintain (replace filters) than the RO system. It's cost per gallon is also excellent compared to alternatives.
This was easy to install, my husband and father in law did it. It took about an hour or less. Water tastes great! I did a lot of research on water filters and Aquasana is a great quality company that has the NSF certification which is important. So far I'm very happy with the product.
Pros: Clean taste, Durable, Easy to clean, Easy to install
