The unit is very attractive on my new granite counter top along with the nice clear water that it dispenses. I don't care for icewater frm the refrigerator. That's why I chose this Aquasana........Thank you
Pros: Clean taste, Easy to install, Long lasting filter
Using it for drinking water & ice cubes. A friend recommended it & didn't steer me wrong. You have a great product. I no longer have to buy bottled water& that's a great savings to us.
Pros: Clean taste, Durable, Easy to clean, Easy to install, Long lasting filter
I clicked difficult to install because the water lines provided were a little short, the supply line needed to be about 6" longer for me taste could be a little better also
I had a 6 stage reverse osmosis system that I replaced with the Aquasana unit and couldn't be happier. The installation went very smooth with no glitches. The quality of the this unit is evident in it's design and construction and the water quality, in my opinion, is superior to the RO system that was here. The six month automatic filter replacement is most convenient with no more labeling filters. I can see many years of good service from this unit and this company.

The filter works well and the water tastes great but getting there was an adventure. The inlet line is 3/16"; for most older homes, the supply line is 1/4" OD. An adapter would have been nice. On the outlet side, the line was 1/4" -- which is perfect for splitting to go to a refrigerator as well -- but the faucet for use on the sink was low quality: the metal was thin and the gooseneck was slightly out of line so it leaned to one side. Fortunately the faucet set we had for our sink included a small "filtered water" faucet of much higher grade that matched our sink faucet. It took several trips to the hardware store to get all the necessary adapters so the 45 minute install became a day-long adventure. But when is working on plumbing in older houses anything else.
The filter was delivered in a timely manner and in nice condition. This is our first directly connected water filtration system. We had a Pur counter top unit for years and that was fine except the filters needed to be changed often and the unit needed to be cleaned. With this system, the filters should only need to be changed every 6 months whereas the Pur should be changed every 2 months. It's great that I won't have to clean this system as it's just an extra facet on my sink. I also like the fact that when you do need to replace the filters, you only need replace the inside and not the plastic housing. The cartridge you need to replace is mostly paper, which you may discard or compost, and two plastic rings which you can recycle. With the Pur and other types, you throw away all that plastic making the Aquasana a better environmental choice. We have only been using the Aquasana about a month but so far, so good. I'm very glad that we switched over to this water filtration system.
