We renovated a kitchen and were pleased to choose a built in product. We were using a Brita system and we are thrilled to have this Aquasana installation. We highly recommend this product.
Replaced a RO filter with this water purifier. RO filter was difficult and expensive to maintain and after 10 years it needed replacement. Aquasana water filter was extremely easy to install even for a novice. Water has a great taste and it preserves the good minerals while eliminating the bad. Water had a different taste to it but got used to it within a few days. RO filter took 2 hours to replace the filters annually and I'm looking forward to the quick change filters with this model. Would definitely reccommend this to anyone looking for great water.
WE HAVE USED AQUASANA PRODUCTS FOR MANY YEARS. WE ARE ON A RURAL WATER SYSTEM. WE USE FILTERED WATER FOR DRINKING AND COOKING. WE SOMETIMES HAVE SEDIMENT PROBLEMS. THE UPGRADE TO THIS UNIT MEANS WE CAN CHANGE OUT THE SEDIMENT PRE-FILTER WHEN THE WATER PROBLEMS OCCUR.
Pros: Clean taste, Durable, Easy to clean, Easy to install, Long lasting filter, Sediment Pre-filter
I bought this product for residential use to replace my Brita filter. The installation was easy and the water taste was pretty good ( a slightly different taste from my Brita). The durability of the product seems okay, except for a constant leak on the spout. The life of the filter is still unknown as I only have this filter for over a month.
I ordered the new 2 stage filter system after a stressful year dealing with the 4600 under counter model. I had numerous leaks and was frustrated with the poor quality. I was hoping the new system would elininate all of the leaks. Although the filter installation system is better, there are now a new problems. The poorly cut hoses (which are too short also) make it difficult to get a proper fitting. It's obvious there is a step down in quality from the previous model. The faucet assembly is lighter and cheaper quality, and the hoses are no longer permanently attached. The low-quality fittings and poor instructions make it very difficult to get a proper attachment and avoid leaks. If you don't mind spending an afternoon trying to install this thing, then the quality is reasonable. However come prepared with buckets and paper towels, and a flashlight. And be prepared to watch for leaks over and over again
Pros: Clean taste, Easy to clean, Long lasting filter
Cons: Difficult to install, Hose Too Short, Hoses Cut Poorly, Mediocre Quality, Not durable, Poor Instructions, Prone To Leaks, Quality Getting Worse
I live in Macungie, Pennsylvania. Tap water has lot of Calcium, I was hoping that this unit will remove the Calcium but it did not. I am not satisfied.
