It lasted less than 2 years...

Unfortunately, our Aquasana filter lasted less than two years. We found water leaking, and when we checked, there was a crack in the upper part of the product.
Pros: Clean taste
Cons: Not durable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Straight forward installation

I bought this to replace my a few years old Whirlpool (now discontinued) 3-stage system. The old system has plumbing adapter and the hose for the water "IN", but the Aquasana system has smaller diameter hose on the out, so I just needed to replace that hose and install the new faucet that comes with the kit.
I would note that if you have older outlet under the sink, you may need to purchase an adapter to accommodate the brass adapter. Also, when pushing the IN and OUT hose into the system, make sure to press them in about 3/4" according to the manual. This is easier to do on the thicker IN hose, but harder for the smaller diameter OUT hose.

Installed the system about a month at the recommendation of a friend who has been using it for nearly a year. Install was relatively painless. Only gripe is that I wish the feed lines provided were a little longer. Otherwise the system works great so far. Great tasting water.

I have used these water filters for drinking and cooking for many years. In fact this is the third one I have installed, one in each of my past 3 houses.
The water quality is amazing. When I tested it for my fully automatic coffee machine it did not even register on the scale.
The 6 months replacement is also an amazing option, I do not have to remember to order new filters they arrive in the mail and I just install them. All completed in 5-10 minutes.
A great company with excellent customer service.
I will never use anything else.
