Cheap hose fittings leak

In order to get this filter operational I had to buy several after market connectors which cost me more time and money. the compression fittings included leaked as they are cheap and faulty although instructions were followed. Rather than just think about profit margin, aquasana should provide clients with quality push connect fittings like shark bite that are well made and will make install a breeze.
Pros: Easy to clean, Clean taste, Good Water Flow
Cons: Difficult to install, Not durable

The filters and unit are simple to assemble with clear directions to follow. The waterlines and filters do not leak. The water is smooth and clean with no taste and no waiting. I use the water in our humidifier and it does not create a film or grainy buildup on the unit.

My apartment is small therefore under the sink is limited in space. I bought bought the reverse osmosis and this filter . I really wanted the reverse osmosis but didnt fit under my sink, this smaller set is perfect. my sink already had a handheld washer so i replaced it with the filter. Once I move I will put everything back. the water is fresh, it doesn't smell like metals or chlorine. Install was HARD> my dad did it but he is very handy and studied engineering. Still took him 2 hours. It's WORTH it !

The entire system is made of plastic. I prefer a system where the drinking water is exposed to no plastic at all. I returned the Aquasana system.

This is my 7th time putting in the three Claryum 3 stage max flow system. filter set every 6 months as recommended. One time the first white filter did not meet the dimensions of the holder and thus shut down the water flow by 50%. I was told to drop a quarter into the bottom of the filter tank and that would push up the filter to allow it to seat properly. OK .. I did that and it worked. After that, they seem to correct the filter size to fix this issue without the coin intervention. The water was wonderful with no complaints. This time I put in all 3 plus the battery but have grey water full of tiny bubbles that take ten minutes to dissipate leaving clear water but the appetizing appearance of it is not there for that first ten minutes. It looks dirty for a while. This system should not be doing this in my view. What is causing it? everything fits tight, screwed in nice and tight as it should be. No leaks, no noise, and no flow issues, just a glass of gray water that eventually turns clear. I never had this before. I'm lost on what is causing it. I was advised to let the water run for 20 minutes or more to clear out the filter units and get clean water coming out of the tap. Did that. It still looks like microparticles in the water, and then it looks like microbubbles in the water that eventually go away leaving a clear drink. I Could use some direction on this brand-new set of 3 filters I just installed. THANKS for any help... WR.

Great taste but leak hazard!!

Professional plumber installed the unit. Worked great with great tasting water. However at year 2 the cartridges sprung a leak and being under the sink, I didn't notice it until it was flooded. Aquasana replaced all the cartridges (after some arguments) and it worked fine until almost a year later when it leaked again. Cabinets flooded again and now I have permanent water damage. Once bitten, twice shy! Got a refund for the original purchase but I will NOT be purchasing their products again and now I have a dud faucet installed on my countertop.
Pros: No odor, Clean taste, Good Water Flow, Nice faucet, Easy to install
Cons: Not durable

The two tubes that comes with the filter are soft and get disconnected once all connections are made. The installation was easy but it didn't work. Water leaked at the time of installation and again 2 days later resulting in flooding of the house and significant repairs (replacement of drywall on ceiling and walls of the basement). I had a plumber look at the tubing and he confirmed that the tubing after connections are made as instructed can be pulled out with force which is what turning on the water valve was doing and led to the flooding. Our plan is now to replace the tubing with PEX pipes and see if that would hold. Very disappointed overall!
