I bought one of the Aquasana three-stage filters for my summer home at the beach. There, we use well water which has a questionable odor, although it is deemed safe by the county inspectors. Minerals cause glassware to easily spot, and there is visible rust coloring in the tub and shower areas. This filter was installed to give us pure drinking and cooking water, and water for making clean ice and coffee. The smell was eliminated. Of course, we don't have one for bathing. But, I will invest in a whole-house filter system in the near future. By the way, I am writing this from my winter home in which just installed a three-stage filter this past November. That's how much I like it.

Easy installation. Water tastes great. Looks great. Nice polished finish on unit. The only con at this point ( have had it installed for less than one month) it is a slow pour. I believe this is to allow the filters to do there job properly. Not a big deal though.

We have been using a Pur filter for years. The water where we live is actually very good but would sometimes have a slight taste or smell. We love the convenience of having this filter permanently installed under the counter. It puts out very good tasting water. The unit was easy to install. Have only had the unit for couple of months so do not know how long filters will last or how durable the unit will be.

I was happy to learn that there is a discount for signing up for automatic filter replacement. Replacing the filters is easier than my last one also.
