We bought this to replace a Culligan water filter system that we purchased at a home improvement store. this is a far superior system. The water tastes even cleaner than bottled water. Plus the faucet flow is much greater. The price was slightly more than the other system but if I bought this the first time, I would've saved myself from the expense and inconvenience of replacing the low quality Culligan system.
Set up was super easy, it was as simple as in the instructional video for me. We had the same plumbing. We have one in our kitchen and one in our main bathroom. Our water went from chlorine tasting and brown-ish with tanins, to cryastal clear and so fresh tasting. Our city also has lead issues, so my family can now safely drink as much water as we like.
Pros: Clean taste, Clear water, Durable, Easy to clean, Easy to install, Long lasting filter
I have not had the system long enough to comment on Durability or Filter Life. The install was easy, although the tubing supplied was too short so I had to go to the store to buy more. The unit seems sturdy enough and changing the filters looks like that will be easy. Changing the filters on my old unit was wet and messy. Water flow is a little slow but that will depend on water supplier pressure. I changed from my reverse osmosis system because the RO elements are expensive, and to replace it you roll up a new RO element and pop it into the housing. Nowhere could I see how the clean water was isolated from unfiltered water. Since I changed it every 3 to 5 years I was concerned about bacteria build-up. RO systems also need a water tank and they go bad all too often. I chose this brand and model because a comparison on the web showed it filtered out most contaminants. I would recommend this filter system.
