I read the installation instructions and decided to use a plumber to install it. he used a better quality valve, etc. and the installation was great with no leaks. so far the unit is functioning well and the water is great. i plan on testing it at a lab in a month to see that it performs to its claims.

Replaced R/O system with this 3-stage filter system. With the R/O system we were adding minerals which we no longer need to do. The water tastes great and the filter replacement is easier than for the R/O system. The one draw-back is the rate of water flow is a bit slower than for the R/O system. However, I should mention that my wife actually thinks this is an improvement.

Cons: Uses Lots of Replacement Filters

I love the filter, everything about it is great. My only concern is that the housing is plastic and over time it may leak. But onto a more positive review. The water tastes great and it pours out nicely. Installation was easy, just follow the instructions provided, no need for a plumber.

The town water tastes nasty and has a chlorine taste. These filters take all that out. Great for coffee. I have it plumbed into my freezer ice maker too for ice with no taste. It's only been installed a few weeks so I don't know how long the filters will last.
