We have not had our filter for very long so all I can say is the water tastes good. We have clean water in our area but taking the chlorine out makes it taste better. We don't know about cleaning the filter, durability, etc. yet.

I use the product for personal use. I liked the reviews I read and was overwhelmed by the choices that are out there. I think this system and what is has to offer comes in at a good price point, as a lot of systems out there are ourageously expensive. My water tastes so much better now. So far, I am very happy with this product. :)

I highly recommend this product, but a re-write of the instructions are overdue. We replaced our faucet-mounted filter with this unit. It performs exceptionally well and looks great. I picked this unit because of its reviews over other, more expensive units. Thanks to those previous reviews, I was prepared for the bad instructions. Knowing which way to mount the washer at the faucet under the sink did require a couple of tries to get it right. Rubber goes above the sink, plastic underneath. If you can't get the faucet to get tight to the sink, you've got the washer the wrong way up. Our installation is beveled edge down. Also, the positioning of the faucet will require some thought. The instructions aren't clear here either. The valve is sturdy and it's operation is awkward if you don't mount the faucet in a way that allows for a good grab and twist. We opted to have the valve face the operator, rather than be on the side, which the pictures seem to indicate, even though this puts it at risk to bumps from pots and pans in the sink. The under-cabinet mount of the filter unit may require some skill if you have a garbage disposal on the same side as your filter. You won't get a large drill in there to make straight holes and the tubing is not long enough to put it on the other side. Getting the screw driver may also be a challenge in that situation. I had to supplement the screws with some washers to keep the unit from sliding up the mounting slots and then through the holes.

Our Viking refrigerator water filter completely broke and they didn't provide any solution, so we had to install something new. This was low cost, easy maintenance water filtering system. I like it, but my kids like to drink really cold water, so so they don't use it too often. Overall, good product.
