Could not install the unit housing along the sidewall of cabinet as suggesgted due to the sink hardware that was in the way. Could not access the screw holes due to the angle afforded. Placing the unit on the other side of the cabinet was also not possible because of the hose location was then in the wrong direction and because of the garbage disposal unit was in the way. Fortunately I was replacing another filter so I cut the existing hoses (which were of the same diameter) of the old unit and purchased unions to attach the new unit thus having plenty of hose lengths. The new unit housing was then placed on the floor along the back of the sink cabinet being careful not to kink the hoses as the location of the hoses on the Aquasana unit still were on the wrong side. A fix to this problem would be to install 90 degree elbows on both the inlet and outlet hoses close to the unit to allow greater flexiblity in the installation. I did not need to use the new faucet as the old one was similar to the new one and I was not concerned about its having lead in its construction making the total installation process easy and simple.

We live in an area of California which normally has great-tasting water. However, during the drought, water has been imported from Southern California. Lots of chlorine is used to treat it, and the pleasure of drinking a glass of water from the tap is ruined by the chlorine smell and taste. The Aquasana filter COMPLETELY removes the chlorine smell and taste. Purchasing it directly through Aquasana is the most cost-effective because of signing up for the Water for Life program. We have not owned it long enough to comment about the length of time that the filters last, but Aquasana said that the timing of the Water for Life program can be customized. Overall, even with the extremely slow flow of water through the filter, it is a worthwhile purchase and I would recommend it to anybody looking for a drinking water system.

I replaced the soap dispenser in my granite countertops with my new Aquasana 3 stage water filter to get great tasting and healthy water without all the chemicals. In my research I found that Aquasana filters out the most - 66 chemicals that can be harmful to your health. The three stage unit is very easy to install and the water spout is a very nice design. The water pressure is much better than I expected. I just LOVE my new Aquasana filter system. The water tastes fabulous and it's so healthy for me!

I had given up on a Aquasana countertop/under counter filter assembly because the filters "o"rings would leak all the time. I had to keep a pan under the assembly to protect my cabinets. I then read that they came out with a new 3-stage under counter water filter (AQ-5300 three stage filter system). I ordered it and quickly saw it was a better quality and was worthy of the MADE IN THE USA branding. The housing and "O"rings are well made. Most importantly they DON'T LEAK!!!! Aquasana your on track now!!! You had almost lost a customer for life! Never take the cheep way out it will always bite you in the end. Give the engineers a well deserved pat on the back. The water quality is great! After six months I couldn't believe how much sediment the filters removed from the water I was drinking. YOU NOW TRUELY HAVE A CUSTOMER FOR LIFE! Keep up the good work.
