We have a well that produces a great supply, but terrible-tasting water. Previous to this filtration system I was running drinking water through a tap-mounted filter and then through a pitcher filter. Now we can just drink straight from the tap and have been able to eradicate all those extra parts, filters, hassle, etc. LOVE the taste, and the peace of mind this system brings.

My only real concern with the Aquasana was the 5/8 inch and 1/4 inch hoses that came with it were way too short to install the filter manifold under my wash tub counter. I went to my local hardware store to get longer runs of 5/8 and 1/4 inch hose, only I had some issues connecting the compression fitting to the 1/4 inch hose. Essentially the compression fitting didn't stay in place. Even store bought compression fittings for the 1/4 inch hose blew apart once I opened the shutoff valve. In fairness, this wasn't the fault of Aquasana, but the inner diameter of the replacement 1/4 hose not being thick enough. Aquasana - you should provide a minimum of four feet of hose, not 18 inches as was included in mine. At the end of the day, I re-purposed the existing 1/4 inch hose that was part of my old Culligan water filter that was there before. The product is well built and delivers on it's promise, it is an excellent water filter, and produces great tasting water. Making coffee from this filtration system is fantastic - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

We use this for all our drinking water and to make coffee and tea. We replaced our old two stage sustem with the new three stage system. The new faucet is better and turns off instantly. The filters are also alot easier to replace; you just twist and pull out. The old system was much harder to change filters,because you had to take the body of the filter apart, put the new filters in, and then reconnect the water lines before you were done. Also the supply line is larger on the three stage system so the water flow is good, but it's about the same as the old two stage system, but this is because the new one has three stages to go through.Would give five stars if water flow was better.We definitely recommend this product.

My previous filter system had large cannisters and filters with stiff rubber gaskets (to force the water through the filter media). It also had large external o-rings to seal the screw-on cannisters to the main housing. Over time, both zones leaked which allowed some water to bypass the filter to the fawcett (defeating the filter's purpose) and other water to leak onto the floor. Everything had to fit perfectly for this design to work properly. My new Aquasana unit has a much improved cannister and o-ring design.

I use this product for both drinking and cooking water. It is great just to turn on a faucet and have delicious water. Purchased this because I was impressed with all the chemicals/particles it removed. Much better than the filter/pitcher I was use to. Sorry I did not get one sooner! Installation looked a little complicated so I had a plumber install for me. Worth the cost to have it done professionally. Highly recommend this filtration system.
