I bought this system for my daughter and grandchildren because our local has a higher Chromium 6 level than allowed by law. The water is fine, it tastes like water with less Chloramine smell. The engineering of the equipment is in question regarding the venting at the key hole on the filtered water faucet. The key hole allows water to run out when the waste line is clogged. system overflows. I'm not sure, but why wasn't this discharge routed through the waste line to pressurize it to unclog it? As far as the water quality goes I cannot test it to say it's great or bad, I don't have the equipment nor do I want to spend hundreds of dollars to have it tested.
Good water taste but difficulty with water tank. Why did I need a water tank?
Pros: Clean taste, Long lasting filter, Good Water Flow
Cons: Filters need replacing too often, Difficult to install, Cloudy Water
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Reverse Osmosis is a method by which water is forced back onto the other side of a filter (so small that only water molecules can pass through) leaving you with clean water that goes directly into the holding tank. That filtration process takes about 2 hours to complete, and because of that, the holding tank allows you to have access to clean drinking water as soon as you turn on your faucet.
Installed under sink, definately makes 'clean' water - no odor or bad taste anymore! I moved into a newly constructed home (in which the builder had installed a filtered system under the sink) When it was tested, it removed very little contamanets. I had RO system installed (with a flouride cartridge), which removed 98% of the bad stuff. The water now tastes great. I wish I could have afforded to install a 'whole-house' system.
Pros: Easy to clean, No odor, Clean taste, Long lasting filter, Durable, Nice faucet
I have a love/hate relationship with my Aquasana reverse osmosis. Being in the grey hair catagory of life we hired a plumber to install the product. Even he had a problem and installed one of connectors incorrectly. Water all over the counter top. My husband rigged a diversion into the sink until he felt up to getting under the sink and figuring out what had happened. Plumber had installed the connector backwards. My husband fixed it and it's been working just as it should for two years. Replacing the filters under the sink every six months is for the young and agile - not us. So we hire a young neighbor to come over and do the chore for us. Installation and changing the filters definitely not for oldsters whose bones creak. Thank goodness for kind neighbors.
Pros: No odor, Clean taste, Good Water Flow, Durable, Nice faucet
Cons: Filters need replacing too often, Difficult to install
I like the result but replacing cartridges extremely difficult for arthritic old lady. And now there is a leak and the plumbers I have called say they have no experience fixing this product. So while the result is good, maintenance of the system seems problematic except for an experienced (and strong) do-it-yourselfer. Additionally, the Aquasana help line provides little or no assistance or guidance.
Pros: Clean taste
Cons: Slow pour, Filters need replacing too often, Difficult to install
