I researched online for a water filter. The water where I live is very hard. Aquasana was the best out of all the companies I researched. The prices were great. I purchased a filter for my shower and love it. My hair is in better condition and my skin isn't dry like before. I recently bought the kitchen counter filter. I love it. Great water and it looks great. The flow is a little slower than I would like but it's worth it.

I originally purchased this to provide my small hydroponic herb and vegetable garden with chlorine free water, but use it now for all drinking water for people and plants. Other reviews said the flow is extremely slow, but I find it quite usable, slower than straight tap of course, but quicker than a pur filter. It was extremely easy to install, much pricier than pur or brita, but filters much more out of the water. Now unfiltered water tastes like chlorine to me...something that makes sense, but I never really noticed before tasting the pure water. I am giving it four instead of five stars mainly based on the price point of the filters and system, not on the performance of the filter.

We purchased this water filter system after referencing Dr. Amy Myers. I am looking to reduce my exposure to toxins, etc. We can definitely taste the difference with the filter vs. from the tap water (in a positive way.) The hose occasionally gets in the way when washing dishes, etc, but no real issue- something I am willing to deal with for clean water!
