I love the filtration system but the leakage from the unit is unacceptable. I have had damage to the ceiling below my kitchen because of water damage secondary to leakage. After each usage of unit I soak a dish towel with the water that leaks from the unit. I love the filtration but the leakage is unacceptable. There is a design problem with the unit.
Pros: Clean taste, Easy to install
Cons: Not durable

This Filter Doesn't Work Well

It has leaked since Day 1. I positioned it over the sink so it could just leak water right into the sink. I finally called customer support who sent me a new unit (just the filter set that goes inside the plastic housing. With this filter, the water doesn't even come out of the faucet. Unit doesn't leak, so that problem is solved. Only this new problem is worst than the first. I'm so upset. I paid for this thing and it doesn't work.Wish I'd read the 1 star reviews before purchasing.
Cons: Slow pour, Not durable

DEPENDABLE, EASY TO CHANGE FILTERS, WITH AUTO FILTER PROGRAM YOU GET REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR LIFE IF NEEDED. NO HASSELS WHEN DOING THIS, JUST CALL EXPLANE WHAT PARTS NEED REPLACING AND "BOOM" YOU HAVE THEM! HAVE BEEN USING THIS UNIT STARTING 2015. NO COMPLANTS. GOOD SERVICE.

Exactly what I wanted!

I wanted to upgrade from the standard Brita. This system is what I need. Went with countertop model because of the size of my kitchen and storage space. Easy install. Tasted a difference immediately which was nice but my greatest delight came when I noticed that the electric kettle I use to heat water for tea and to use in my French press for coffee no longer builds up the residue inside from the hard water.
Absolutely reccomend this product!

After connecting the hoses to the bottom of the unit I screwed and tightened the hoses end to the faucet. When I turned the water on there was a serious leak; after retightening it still leaked. I took the filters out of the new unit and installed them in the old one I still had, it works OK eith a small drip from the bottom of the filter housing unit. What do I do now?

I've had this filter for about one year now. I've had no issues with leaking and my water is so crispy fresh, I can't believe it. And NYC is supposed to have the cleanest water but when I compare the non-filtered to the filtered, the Aquasana is clear and doesn't have the cloudy appearance nor the little white particles that the tap water has floating in it.
I have a suggestion for the people who are hesitant in purchasing this because some folks said it leaks. My friend has this unit as well and is always moving the unit around which loosens the the tubing which makes her unit leak. I leave mine in the same place, out of the way from the day to day, and I have not had any issues with this leaking and it's been one year. I move it to clean the counter so you can move it around, just be gentle.

Worst product I’ve ever owned!!

I would not purchase this product again for ten cents! After several months, we decided,to change the filter cartridges. My wife tried to unscrew the individual cylinders at the bottom of the unit and could not get them to open. I tried to do open them, and was able to remove one, but the other cylinder is so incredibly tight, you could give it to 1000 of the strongest people in this country and they wouldn’t be able to open it. And although I was able to open one of the cylinders, the filter is jammed in so tightly that it won’t come out. A 7 year old could design a better product than this piece,of absolute garbage.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
