I just moved into a new apartment in Chicago, built in the 1930s. While it's been recently renovated, I doubted the pipes were all replaced and knew I should filter my drinking & cooking water. Aquasana completely blows away every other system I found, in terms of capability! When I installed my countertop unit (which took all of 2 minutes), there were small oxidized particles in the aerator cap for the kitchen sink - I was immediately glad I made the purchase. On black granite counters, the black model I have almost vanishes from sight, which is great. It's easy to use, and the water tastes great!

I love this compact water filter! I had used it for 3 years consecutively, and trying to save money discontinued for a year. I had missed the clean taste of the filtered water and this time I ordered I signed up for the water for life program. It's money well spent, when you considered all the contaminants it removes. Our water in the summer has a chlorine smell and that is troubling to me.

The taste of the city tap water filtered through this is not as great as bottled spring water, but it is definitely better than unfiltered city tap water.
