I double checked all connections before I turned the water on but it still leaked.
Turns out the seal on the input side where the hose connects to the filter housing was not installed properly at the factory, after many attempts to reseat the seal I finally got the leak stopped. I have used countertop units for years now and I might add that it is almost impossible to get the old filters out of the housing for filter replacement. Applying a small amount of plumbers grease with your finger to the threads helps making filer changes easier.

Great water. Internal housing needs redesign.

I've been running 2 countertop units for many years. Love the filtration and the quality of the resulting water. However, there is a design flaw with the internal twin housing that causes it to crack at the corner where the short hose connects the two filters inside. Thus, it needs to be replaced every few years. Only cost shipping is if on Water for Life, but it prevents me from giving it 5 stars. Aquasana should fix this. Surely the weakness is known. I've replaced at least 4. OTOH, Aquasana's customer service is great. If it weren't for the occasional "guts" replacement, I'd give it 5 stars.
Pros: Clean taste, Easy to install
Cons: Not durable

I returned this product, even though I would have loved to have it sitting proudly on my countertop. It only had two adapters with it and neither fit my current faucet. I would have had to buy an inferior faucet in order to keep the Aquasana. I have used Aquasana in the past and I liked it.
