Battery life is shorter than the need to replace the filter so it goes off before you get the replacement cartridge. Easy to disconnect, though, once you recognize it is not your mysterious invisible smoke alarm going off! I rely on the taste vs the battery for filter life.

I have been using the Aquasana brand of filters for many years now, and this one is one of my favorite. It was fun and relatively easy to install with great directions, and it works very well. Exchanging filters is very easy too, and the flow rate is just fine. When the time is right, I will upgrade to the whole home unit!

We lI've our countertop Aquasana. From the first glass we knew we would have clean and healthy water to drink. Not that Fort Worth water is bad, but with most municipal water systems in the US becoming old, the likelihood of contaminates increases as time goes on. One thing we didn't see was an Aquasana system for our fridge. So my husband, being the inventive engineer saw that the below the sink Aquasana faucet system could work with the water connections that fed our Samsung refrigerator. So we ordered it and took less than 20 minutes to hook the system into our refrerator water line. We now have cooled water and clear ice cubes where we used to use ice trays for ice. Love you Aquasana and glad I signed up for the filters for life program.
