If my wife had to replace these filter she could not do it, too difficult, forces too high. If you look at use over time I believe that the filters for life program interval is too close together. In my way of thinking for those who do not use the filter often where water become stagnant or for those who have a large family the once per six months works. We use the system enough to avoid stagnation but are not using the volume of a large family. Technology being what it is there should be a way to use a calculator of use over time to get a customized filters for life program.
Pros: Clean taste, Durable, color coding
Cons: Difficult to install, replacement program is not custom, one size fits
