This does improve the taste of our water but I still buy refill filtered water at the store because it does not have the calcium buildup that hurts the coffee maker.

We've been Aquasana customers since moving to an apartment where the city tap water was simply unbearable to drink. I mean, the Brita we had used where we lived previously just couldn't do the job in this new place. So we did our research and Aquasana just kept coming up again and again as the best filter system out there. So we took the plunge and bought the entry-level above-the-sink model and the difference was immediate and incredible. Now, over 4 years later and in our own house, we went all in and got the under-the-sink model and we are more than pleased. The under-the-sink conversion was super easy to install and the filters dummy-proof to put together. Just remember to let new filters run for the recommended time (I think it was 10 min?) to get any loose carbon dust flushed through. Then you're on to months filled with crisp, clean, refreshing water!
