The filters have improved considerably in the last couple years due to new adjustments to the previous system, and it shows. In every single facet this filter is better than the previous iteration. The cons are cons that exist in any long-term filter, but even then the little battery that comes with it is designed to beep to let you know when it's time to change. My issue is mine worked for roughly 8 months and didn't beep after the second filter replacement, and my drinking volume didn't change, so may be a one-off issue. Only addition for a future iterations I would like tp alleviate all guess work is using the battery to do a sort of countdown on recommended change based on use, but I admittedly do not know if that technology is viable in these filters.

These are the upgraded filters from what I had before. They start to make a sound when they need to be changed. For me it happened about 2 weeks before I got my automatic replacement by mail. I like these filters, it makes our water cleaner and taste better.

I have had my Aquasana water filter for several years now. I am super sensitive to allergens, even that exist in the water. : ( This is the reason that I purchased the Aquasana under sink water filter system.
