at first when we got the unit you had always supplied a silicone base lub. but don't anymore. doesn't the filters or cups need this for good seal?

we are happy with our aquasana water system. the water tastes very good with no after taste, really improves water quality. We tried a knock off version filter and the water did pour faster but the taste was no where as good; it didnt filter as well.

I've had an Aquasana for 10 years now, and would NOT be without one. The old system worked well but was a real headache come filter-change time. The new, upgraded sink top system changes all that. Changing filters is as easy as opening a jar of pickles. just unscrew the holders, replace the filters and screw back on--NO TOOLS NEEDED! I'm not a plumber, so I would recommend the sink-top faucet be professionally installed. Once it's installed, you'll NEVER have to buy bottled water again.
